The tech-forward maternity provider Millie has entered UCSF Health Medical Foundation’s clinically integrated network, bringing its care model to more of Northern California.

The two organizations will coordinate care on shared protocols and technology platforms from pregnancy through postpartum and ongoing gynecological visits. East Bay families come first, linking Millie’s Berkeley clinic with the foundation’s Women’s Group for Health, before the model fans out across the Bay Area.

CEO Anu Sharma said Millie’s technology integrates directly with UCSF’s electronic health record. The company’s stack pairs an AI-powered practice management platform with connected devices and patient-facing apps that power individual care journeys, from booking appointments with preferred providers to reminders and check-ins between visits.

Care delivery pairs midwifery-led prenatal visits with round-the-clock virtual support and backup from OB-GYNs and specialists. Lactation counseling, mental health services and postpartum care, including an in-home visit, round out the offering.

The startup raised a $12M Series A in February 2025 co-led by TMV and Foreground Capital, following a $4M seed round in 2022, and has since expanded its physical clinics and platform.

The tie-up is another sign of health systems folding specialist digital maternity providers into their networks as they look to extend care beyond hospital walls.
