A new alliance called the Diagnostic AI Consortium pairs Aidoc with twelve U.S. health systems. Their shared goal is faster, safer, and higher-quality diagnosis. Annual patient volume across the group approaches 20 million.
The roster spans Advocate Health, Cedars-Sinai, Hartford HealthCare, Houston Methodist, Mercy, Mount Sinai, Northwell Health, Northwestern Medicine, Sutter Health, University of Florida Health, University Hospitals of Cleveland, and WellSpan Health. More systems can still join.
The consortium wants to apply diagnostic AI across imaging, pathology, laboratory data, and the medical record, then share the evidence and governance lessons with the wider field. Modern Healthcare reported the systems will co-design workflows and exchange real-time feedback while testing the tools.
Aidoc says the launch comes as demand for diagnostic answers outpaces the physicians available to deliver them. The company argues that diagnostic AI must be purpose-built for clinical decision-making, rigorously validated in practice, FDA-cleared, and designed to improve measurable patient outcomes, rather than simply generating content or answering questions.
