Egypt will host Africa’s inaugural conference on artificial intelligence in healthcare at the 4th Africa Health ExCon, set for June 24–27, 2025, at Cairo’s Al Manara International Conference Center. This first-of-its-kind event is a collaboration between the Egyptian Authority for Unified Procurement (UPA), Moharram & Partners (M&P), and key continental bodies including the African Union, Africa CDC, AUDA-NEPAD, and ACCESS Health International. It aims to position Egypt as a regional hub for health innovation while driving collaboration between global AI leaders and African governments.
The initiative will provide a high-profile platform for local and international firms specializing in AI-driven medical technologies to showcase their solutions and form strategic partnerships across the African healthcare landscape. Organizers say the conference will accelerate the adoption of cutting-edge digital tools that improve care quality, operational efficiency, and health equity. Dr. Hisham Stait of UPA noted the event’s potential to elevate Egypt’s leadership role in continental health transformation.
The AI-focused conference also reflects a broader commitment to workforce development and sustainable innovation. Moharram & Partners’ Managing Partner, Mr. Sherif Bendary, emphasized the goal of empowering healthcare professionals through skill-building and knowledge exchange. As Egypt deepens its partnerships with regional and global stakeholders, the event is expected to generate actionable insights and investment opportunities that reshape Africa’s digital health future.
