Women’s health company Evvy closed a $40M Series B round led by Catalio Capital Management. Evvy, legally Allora Health, will use the capital to scale AI-powered precision diagnostics and care.
New backers include the U.S. Fertility Innovation Fund and Rethink Impact. Returning investors include General Catalyst and LabCorp Venture Fund.
Co-founder and CEO Priyanka Jain said the biology unique to female bodies has gone understudied for decades. Clinical trials broadly excluded women until 1993, so only about 30 years of research data exist. Misdiagnosis rates for some conditions run above 50%.
Jain also contests the language patients hear. She said labels like unexplained infertility or unexplained pain actually describe a research gap, because the markers worth measuring were never identified in female tissue at all.
Evvy sequences the vaginal microbiome, which Jain described as complex yet historically reduced to a few organisms or broad labels. That data feeds models supporting diagnosis and, increasingly, fertility decisions.
The company says its platform has reached more than 100,000 patients. The fresh capital funds validation studies and wider clinical adoption, as investors bet that proprietary women’s health data becomes a durable asset for AI diagnostics.
