Patients lived longer when therapy followed Caris Life Sciences’ AI recommendations, a study published this week in npj Precision Oncology found.
The TechBio company, which trades on the NASDAQ under the ticker CAI, pairs comprehensive molecular profiling with AI models that rank treatment options. The analysis looked at whether patients whose care followed those AI-guided recommendations lived longer, and found a survival association in the direction of the platform’s picks.
Pancreatic cancer is among the hardest cancers to treat. Most patients are diagnosed late and options run out quickly. Caris argues that machine learning across large molecular and outcomes databases can flag therapies clinicians would not otherwise consider.
The results join a growing body of work on AI-guided cancer decisions. Caris sees the study as support for embedding AI-based therapy selection into everyday oncology practice. The paper was published August 27.
