Ant Group is repositioning its physician app as an AI-powered clinical workstation. Haodf for Doctor becomes AQ for Doctor, aimed at China’s five million doctors across the whole care workflow.

The platform ties into AQ, Ant’s consumer health app. Doctors and patients now meet in one AI environment. The AI Doctor Agent handles the care journey in stages. It collects patient histories, runs pre-visit interviews and answers routine questions, then drafts follow-up summaries for long-term patient management. The AI Medical Assistant fields text or voice queries with evidence-based references and traceable sources. Hospitals can launch their own online clinics on the platform, and doctors handle consultations, records and follow-ups from a single account.

Zhang Junjie, Ant’s health business head, said the aim is a practical assistant for clinicians rather than a replacement for doctors.

Ant Group has pushed steadily into health AI in China, where its AQ app already reaches millions of users. Turning a physician-facing platform into an AI workstation signals the company’s next bet, embedding generative AI into how doctors actually practice.
