LeanTaaS has snapped up Aidin, whose care transition software reaches more than 200 hospitals. The September 1 deal adds Aidin’s network of 21,000-plus post-acute providers and over two million yearly referrals to the iQueue product family.
The purchase stretches iQueue for Inpatient Flow beyond the hospital. Discharge readiness signals now connect with the workflows that arrange a patient’s next care setting. LeanTaaS calls the problem a stubborn cost driver. Roughly 40% of Medicare patients leave the hospital needing post-acute care, and that group accounts for more than 55% of avoidable hospital days.
Patients who are ready to leave often wait on placement decisions, payer authorization or provider communication. Those waits hold beds and pile on cost. Aidin coordinates referrals, authorization and patient choice across systems that rarely talk to one another.
LeanTaaS sells AI-driven capacity management and patient flow software that watches demand and staffing across hospital units. With Aidin aboard, the platform can follow a patient past discharge, which the company says will help systems cut avoidable days, unlock capacity and speed access.
