Dental software company Archy has closed a $50M Series C, with growth investor JMI Equity writing the lead check.

Five returning funds joined the round: Bessemer Venture Partners, TCV, CRV, Alven and Entree Capital. Archy has now raised $97M in total.

Two pressures drive demand for its platform. Dental offices carry heavy administrative work, and many struggle to hire trained staff. Jonathan Rat and Benjamin Kolin founded the company in 2021 to attack both. Its cloud platform now serves over 1,000 practices in 45 states, moves more than $300M in payments each year and employs roughly 130 people. Executives have joined from Toast, SurveyMonkey, Shopmonkey and Uber.

Archy sells its agents as one system rather than as add-on tools. Revenue files claims and chases outstanding balances. Scribe converts finished appointments into SOAP notes. Verify checks insurance eligibility. Connect runs patient messaging and scheduling. Insight reads practice data for growth signals.

Most dental practices are small independent businesses without IT teams, which has slowed AI adoption in the sector. Archy’s pitch is that a single integrated platform removes that barrier.

JMI Equity brings growth-stage experience from clinical software, having backed eClinicalWorks and PointClickCare.
