Healthcare payment intelligence platform Lyric has acquired Concert, a precision medicine payment technology company, to combine Concert’s policy intelligence with Lyric’s AI-enabled decision platform.

Concert works with health plans, laboratories, and health technology vendors to manage diagnostic and precision medicine testing. Its platform weaves together clinical evidence, medical policies, coding standards, and payment rules to enable genetic and laboratory tests to be ordered, reviewed, and reimbursed more accurately.

Lyric offers health plans tools that analyze policy, claims data, and clinical information using AI to identify incorrect, duplicate, or non-compliant payments. The acquisition merges Concert’s precision medicine capabilities into the Lyric42 platform, shifting the payment model from reactive enforcement at disconnected checkpoints to shared standards across stakeholders.

The companies have partnered since 2023 on machine-learning models for genetic testing claims. Last year, Lyric acquired ClaimShark, integrating its pre-pay editing and overpayment detection tools into the platform.
