Dimension, a venture firm betting heavily on the convergence of technology and biology, has raised $800M for its third fund, the company announced July 21. The fund positions the firm to continue investing in AI-driven biotech startups that sit at the intersection of computing and life sciences.
The firm has now invested in 35 companies across three funds, and recently saw one of its portfolio companies acquired by AI giant Anthropic. Dimension focuses on early-stage companies building at the intersection of biology, engineering, and artificial intelligence, a space it calls “tech-bio.”
“AI’s rapid ascent in biology is creating unprecedented opportunities,” the firm stated in its announcement. The new fund comes amid a surge of investor interest in AI-enabled drug discovery, with startups and venture firms raising record amounts in 2026.
Dimension’s $800M fund adds to a wave of large capital raises by AI-biotech investors, reflecting confidence that AI tools are now mature enough to meaningfully accelerate drug development, protein design, and other areas of life science research.
