Three draft clinical posters for Generate Biomedicines’ AI-designed asthma drug appeared on the European Respiratory Society congress website weeks before the embargo lifted, the company disclosed.
In an August 25 securities filing, the biotech said the posters for its GB-0895 program, a next-generation anti-TSLP antibody engineered with its generative AI platform, were posted by mistake. The company had expected the data to stay under embargo until 6:01 p.m. Eastern on September 7. The ERS Congress runs September 5-9.
The three posters span severe uncontrolled asthma and adult COPD. Two cover the phase 3 SOLAIRIA-1 and SOLAIRIA-2 studies. As a precaution, Generate filed the final posters with regulators under Regulation FD, which formally made the data public. The shares slipped on the news.
The leak matters beyond embarrassment: GB-0895 is one of the most closely watched AI-designed antibody programs in the clinic, and the early posters give investors and rivals a preview of its data before the September presentation.
